Which packs to download first

The Choicer Voicer ships almost no content, so your first job after buying it is picking packs. There is no official “starter set.” What follows is not an editor's opinion — it is GameBanana's own download counts, re-synced several times a day. If a pack is near the top, tens of thousands of players already chose it.

The ten most downloaded packs

For scale: the median pack in our index has 505 downloads, so everything above is far outside the ordinary. 4,437 of the 4,716 packs we index are Dub Mode packs — that is where almost all the activity is.

Smaller is better, and that comes from the developer

Before you grab the biggest compilation you can find, the developer's own voice pack guide is explicit about this:

“Less is more. Try to avoid very large packs unless each audio clip is noteworthy. Since random clip selection is uniform, having a giant pack would result in it being sampled disproportionately more.”

The same guide notes the game picks clips inside a length range you set in Settings — anywhere from 0 to 60 seconds, but the default range is 0 to 5.5 seconds. A pack built around long clips will mostly sit unused until you widen that range. Both points are from the official guide, which lives on the developer's own site.

The categories most people never look at

Nearly everything above is a Dub Mode pack. But the show around the performance is replaceable too — the judges scoring you, the host running the round, the player avatars, the menus. These categories are small and much less crowded, so one download changes the whole feel of a session.
